Physician Assistant

Alexis Loyola, PA‑C, is a licensed physician assistant specializing in Interventional Radiology within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. He joins the team from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he completed the Physician Assistant program and earned Superior Academic Achievement honors each semester.

Before entering PA school, Loyola gained approximately four years of clinical experience as a medical assistant in outpatient pediatrics, family medicine, and dermatology. This diverse background continues to inform his patient‑centered approach and strengthens his clinical versatility. He also brings extensive volunteer experience and maintains certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Outside of work, he enjoys working out, finding new restaurants to enjoy, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Loyola is committed to serving the large Spanish‑speaking community within the healthcare system. He is additionally conversational in Portuguese and French.
