Garrett Helvey, PA‑C, is a licensed physician assistant specializing in Interventional Radiology within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson. He joins the team from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he completed his Physician Assistant Studies with high honors.
Helvey brings a diverse clinical background shaped by his previous career as a Firefighter and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT). His training includes extensive clinical rotations and volunteer experience in interventional radiology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, maternal–fetal medicine, and additional specialties.
He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Outside of his professional role, Helvey enjoys reading and all things outdoors especially backpacking, hiking, and golfing.
